Holiday in Norfolk

Norfolk is a fantastic destination for a holiday, whether it’s a weekend break or a whole fortnight. There are miles and miles of clean, safe, sandy beaches for you to enjoy, the bright lights and traditional seaside fun of the likes of Great Yarmouth, pretty villages, the beautiful surrounding countryside where you can get back to nature and relax, high quality and exciting family attractions galore and the glorious Norfolk Broads, not to mention the historic city of Norfolk itself.

The Norfolk Coast area has plenty of holiday accommodation to choose from, to suit all budgets and family sizes. A centrally located holiday park would make an ideal choice from which to explore the area.

For that traditional seaside holiday atmosphere, why not visit the lovely town of Great Yarmouth or maybe Cromer, where you’ll be able to get fish and chips, play in the amusement arcades, take a stroll out along the pier, enjoy some family entertainment, experience the hustle and bustle of a traditional seaside town and breathe in that sea air! If you’re a thrill seeker, you could even experience the ups and downs of the
UK’s oldest wooden rollercoaster ride at Great Yarmouth.

Norfolk has some stunning open countryside and miles of glorious coastal walks, taking you to out of the way beaches, tiny little country villages with traditional pubs and tea-rooms, nature reserves and historic monuments. You could happily spend hours walking and exploring the area, with your kids or your dog and not see another soul. Many holiday parks accept pets in their accommodation and so you needn’t leave your family’s best friends at home. Make sure to see Norfolk’s coastline’s stunning sand dunes too, great spots for a picnic.

Visiting the Norfolk Broads is like stepping back in time. You’ll be able to enjoy the tranquillity of this stunning region, marvel at the traditional windmills and lose yourself in the wonderful flora and fauna of this magical, watery world.

For the more energetic, why not enjoy a game of golf at one of Norfolk’s many golf clubs which include some lovely links courses. You could bring your bikes, or hire them locally, and explore the quiet back roads and lovely bike trails that Norfolk offers. You could go swimming in the sea or even try your hand at surfing from some of the beaches. There are holiday parks in the area that are sited with some of Norfolk’s
beaches right on your doorstep!

To get your fill of history, visit the city of Norfolk with its stunning Cathedral and Castle. Or how about St. Benet’s Abbey near Horning, built on its own island in the Norfolk Broads?

To keep the kids amused there’s a magical adventure park at Bewilderwood or Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens. Ranworth Broads or Strumpshaw Fen Nature Reserves will delight nature lovers, old and young. And for animal lovers there’s Redwings Horse Sanctuary and Africa Alive for a really wild time!
